ANJA MITTERMÜLLER is a Bayer Kultur stARTacademy artist from 2027
Through the stARTacademy, Bayer promotes highly talented young artists by providing them with long-term support and networking opportunities as they pursue their careers, through intensive cultural mentoring, personalised support and joint projects. A new artistic partnership with the Academy of St Martin in the Fields (ASMF) has now been announced.
“The partnership focuses on developing outstanding young musical talent. The artists from the stARTacademy will rehearse with the ASMF and perform together at a selected Bayer venue in Germany. Furthermore, the ASMF will actively support Bayer Kultur in the international search for and selection of future stARTacademy scholarship holders.
In the ASMF, Bayer Kultur gains a renowned partner that supports young soloists at crucial stages of their careers, including through the BBC New Generation Artist programme and its close partnership with leading music colleges in London. The collaboration offers young artists a platform for growth and international visibility. […]” (Bayer Kultur)
Anja Mittermüller is in for a special honour:
"The up-and-coming mezzo-soprano Anja Mittermüller will be the first to experience the unique approach of this new concept during intensive rehearsals with other renowned soloists from the stARTacademy – including pianist Giorgi Gigashvili and violinist Guido Sant’Anna. The result will be presented at the stARTfestival in May 2027.” (Bayer Kultur)
The stARTacademy scholarship means a great deal to Anja Mittermüller, as the ASMF is one of the orchestras she has admired “with great enthusiasm for a long time” and with which, to her great delight, she will be able to enjoy an artistic collaboration from 2027 onwards.
This marks a logical continuation of her artistic journey – supported by strong partners and shaped by a development that promises many more highlights to come.
